We are here today to do as this year’s feminist strike theme says; to call out patriarchal violence for what it is, to come together in our rage, and to unite in our resistance.
We resist against FINTA bodies being exploited for unpaid labor, used to uphold the violent patriarchal structures of our society. We resist against the ongoing attacks on our rights and bodily autonomy. We resist against the genocidal, fascist policies that increasingly seek to erase transgender lives. Today and on all other days, we resist not just for some of us, but for all of us.
And we resist against 616 days of genocide, ethnic cleansing, bombing, massacre, rape and starvation of the Palestinian people.
When we talk about resistance, and about the human right for self-determination, we have to talk about Palestine. About more than 77 years of colonization, settler-colonial violence and apartheid.
We have to center the ongoing Palestinian resistance, amplify Palestinian voices and call for their liberation.
When we talk about “my body, my choice», we have to talk about Palestine, where there is no choice, and bodily autonomy is being
stripped away by israel with murder and torture. Where the occupation’s blockade denies basic human rights, such as access to education and medical care.
Where the israeli siege starves mothers and children alike, where humanitarian aid is blocked from entering Gaza.
When we talk about “Ni una menos”, we have to talk about the estimated 100’000 martyred Palestinian women and girls, and the hundreds murdered just this week.
Today and on all other days we need to resist not just for some, but for all of us.
Since four days Gaza faces a total internet blackout, where families can’t reach each other, where Journalists can’t report and where the world can’t hear their voices.
We need you to use your voice to speak up for Palestine. Use your privilege to boycott the companies profiting off of land theft
and colonization. Use your power to hold Switzerland accountable for its complicity in the ongoing genocide. Demand the termination of all trade and collaboration with the settler colony.
Do not fall for the performative solidarity of our political parties and organizations that have stayed silent for almost two years of genocide and 77 years of occupation.
Not until the full, unconditional liberation of Palestine.
Palestine is a queer-feminist issue. It is an anti-patriarchal, anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist issue; where the struggle for freedom and dignity of all oppressed people of the world unites.
So let us unite in our resistance for the collective liberation of all.
For a free Palestine
from the river Jordan
to the Mediterranean sea.
Free Free Palestine.
Free Free Palestine.
In our thousands, in our millions
we are all Palestinians.
