General Call to Action. Full text: We are angry to live in a world that keeps us small, oppressed and invisible. We’ve had enough of the everyday discrimination that is directed against women, trans, inter, nonbinary and agender people, and all marginalised groups! The visible and invisible discrimination can be found on the streets of our city, in the media, in the healthcare system or at our workplaces. We do more than 60% of the care work, and at the same time 18% of pensioners are affected by poverty in old age. We call on all people affected by patriarchal violence to take their anger to the streets on the 14th of June 2025 and to fight together for a better world. At the Feminist Strike, we are making the violence that affects us every day visible. It is real, it is omnipresent, it is deadly. The resistance against the patriarchal order is not a single struggle, but a common one. Let us unite on the 14th of June – across all borders that seek to divide us. Our diversity is our strength to change Basel in a feminist way. That’s why we’re taking the streets on the 14th of June! Let’s name the violence, unite our anger, and unite in resistance.
